If you’re looking for a new step in your hospitality career that goes beyond the typical front desk or service role, the Loss Prevention Supervisor position offers an interesting mix of challenge and teamwork. Although the exact salary is not posted, the job is a full-time, permanent position packed with responsibility and chances for growth. The role is best suited to candidates with at least two years of related experience and one year of supervisory work.

Expect work that keeps you on your feet: loss prevention supervisors monitor guest safety, support team members, handle emergencies, and maintain hotel security. All while ensuring excellent guest service and upholding organisational standards.

This position doesn’t require a specific licence or certification, but experience and a knack for problem-solving, communication, and leadership are required, as is a clean, professional image.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

Your daily tasks will revolve around making sure everyone on property feels safe and well-cared for. You’ll patrol the buildings, help resolve safety hazards, and assist when guests need help getting into their rooms.

You’ll also handle incident reports, monitor the CCTV and alarm systems, respond to emergencies, and enforce safety standards across the property.

Besides safety, you’ll be entrusted to lead the team—coaching new staff, handling minor guest issues or disturbances, and motivating employees to reach service goals.

You will serve as the primary point of contact between management and your team, championing fair treatment and upholding workplace fairness policies.

This is a physically active job, so be prepared to cover a lot of ground, handle some lifting, and manage multiple situations at once in a professional way.

Highlights & Advantages

Among the main perks is the depth of experience you gain; the role strengthens both your leadership and crisis management skills.

You are trusted with real responsibility from the start and get to see tangible impact from your actions, as you resolve incidents and support colleagues.

The Cons Worth Considering

This job is high-energy and can be demanding, given the physical requirements and expectation to stay alert, diplomatic, and ready for emergency response at any hour.

There can be stressful moments—especially during emergencies or when handling upset guests or team disagreements. Strong multi-tasking is a must.

Verdict: Who Should Apply?

Consider this job if you’re reliable, quick-thinking, and enjoy helping people in a leadership context. Those with experience in hospitality operations or emergency response will thrive most in this dynamic, people-focused job.
